We found many complaints filed against Rosland Capital with The Complaint Board. One of these complaints disturbed us.
One customer was instructed to do things by Rosland Capital that he had no knowledge of. He later realised that they were telling him to do these things in order to make their commission on each transaction. He also states that many of the fees he was charged were never explained to him.
“As of this date August 22, 2012 Rosland Capital has not sent the money for the coins. I feel I was not told the complete story about the actual price of gold and how much the commission was for buying and selling that gold. I was not told about the storage fees. Now Rosland Capital will not return my phone calls.”

We next took information that we compiled from the Better Business Bureau (BBB). The BBB is a leading review and complaint website that showcases reviews and complaints published against companies in the US. Rosland Capital currently have 24 complaints filed with them since March 10, 2013. There are companies out there with far more complaints than Rosland Capital but there are also companies that have no complaints with the BBB.
Rosland Capital currently hold an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. They are accredited with them, meaning that they pay a fee and fill in paperwork to become accredited. One thing that we found is that companies that aren’t accredited tend to have lower scores. For instance, we reviewed Morgan Gold who had 3 complaints against them with a C rating. We believe the accreditation may be behind why companies with more complaints are achieving higher ratings.
Although there are 24 complaints filed against Rosland Capital, the BBB has chosen to not disclose these complaints. However, 8 were to do with Advertising / Sales Issues, 2 from Delivery Issues and 12 from Problems With Product / Service. We tend to find that complaints filed under the ‘Problems With Product / Service’ are related to the issue of mis-selling and misinforming customers.

This complaint stems from excessively high commissions taken for transactions through Rosland Capital. One customer feels that he was ripped off because of high commissions. He claims to have worked out that Rosland Capital ended up taking 24% of his fund through excessive fees.

We feel that Rosland Capital seems to be an okay business that deals with Gold IRAs. Although there are some blemishes on Rosland Capital’s record, it seems that there isn’t a large volume of complaints coming through.
